Leon House sponsors Croydon Food and Music Festival

Leon House is headline sponsor of 2017 Croydon Food & Music Festival

An iconic office block which overlooks Croydon's Restaurant Quarter is headline sponsor of this year's Croydon Food and Music Festival, which is organised by White Label on behalf of South Croydon Business Association.

One of the finest examples of the borough's modernist 1960s architecture, the 21 storey Leon House is currently being redeveloped by FI Real Estate Management to create 263 executive apartments.

Built to London design standards, Leon will offer spacious, high specification homes, with floor to ceiling windows which enjoy panoramic views of London, taking in Canary Wharf, the Gherkin and Wembley Stadium to the north, or Surrey and the North Downs to the south.

The completed building in Croydon's South End will also feature a stunning 21st floor Sky Lounge and roof garden, which will be available exclusively for residents.

"Leon House is set to become one of the landmark properties within the highly desirable Croydon regeneration area," said Mark Adams, associate development director of FI Real Estate Management.

"Right in the heart of the Restaurant Quarter, the building will be an integral part of an area, which is extremely popular with Croydon's young creative tech and professional community.

"FI Real Estate Management is proud to have Leon House as headline sponsor of a festival which celebrates all that's best in this vibrant area."

The sixth annual Croydon Food & Music Festival, which takes place on Sunday, June 25, is the borough's biggest event for foodies with 12,000 people attending in 2016.

Aside from fantastic food and drink stalls, the 2017 festival will also feature live music on three stages along South End.

Leon House, which sits on the edge of South End, was originally designed by architects Tribich, Liefer & Starkin.

A striking example of sixties architecture, the building's reception area boasts a sculpture by William Mitchell, which was uncovered during redevelopment work. Mitchell's 'totem pole' sculpture will be given pride of place in the luxurious new Leon House foyer.

Occupants will be part of Club Leon, an in-house members club offering exclusive privileges and access to all facilities including meeting rooms and the grand open space of the foyer.

Leon House is convenient for East Croydon station with fast links to Central London – the journey time from East Croydon to London Victoria is 16 minutes.

The new apartments will be released for sale in September through Countrywide Residential Developments. The completion dates are scheduled for April to August 2018. For more information contact Countrywide Residential Developments on 0208 506 5830
