What we were asked to do
In 2014 White Label were engaged by Stanhope Schroders with the brief to encourage meanwhile use of a new broadwalk from East Croydon station through what will become the Ruskin Square development.
How we did it
Over the past 18 months, White Label has worked with the client and local community and business groups to create The Platform@Ruskin Square through a mix of branding, events, promotion and social media. On key event days and times, The Platform now regularly attracts in excess of 100 people and is becoming recognised as a popular local event and community space.
Initiatives have included
Wimbledon Live: Up to 60 local employees and commuters at a time enjoyed relaxing on branded deck chairs, drinking Pimm's and eating strawberries while watching matches on a giant screen.
Coffee vendor: White Label managed the tender process to identify and engage an appropriate coffee vendor.
Pop-Up World Food Lunch Markets, including live music entertainment.
Putt Putt#2: An exhibition of newly commissioned art work that takes the form of a crazy golf course.
Croydon Spotlight: Performers encouraged and commissioned to entertain at the site following a social media campaign to engage and identify the best local talent.
