What we were asked to do
Alex Balfe has created a unique and original brand name for her furniture up-cycling company. The company takes old unloved furniture and re-engineers and re-decorates it in a unique 'Ronnie & James' style.
Each piece of up-cycled furniture comes with a history that makes it unique. Each piece of furniture is also 'named'. Ronnie & James is named after Alex's father and grandfather who inspired her during her childhood. The concept behind the company is unique and the history behind the naming of this business provides a great opportunity to incorporate both Ronnie and James in the brand and its heritage.
The primary objective was to develop a brand for Ronnie & James and apply this to the development of a website and marketing materials.
Alex had a long-term aim of developing a complementary range of paints. The artwork and branding designed will be sufficiently versatile to be used on paint cans and supporting marketing materials.
How we did it
What a great project to work on. The studio was transported into a design world that really was a fun place to be when creating the final logo and applying it to the required marketing materials.
