What we were asked to do
Following the Croydon Riots, White Label was contracted to support the regeneration of the various areas of the town. The South End has been particularly hard hit and one of the long-term regeneration initiatives we developed was to work with the South Croydon Business Association to create the now annual South End Restaurant Quarter Food Festival. White Label has continued to work with the Business Association and is currently organising the 2015 Food Festival.
How we did it
In 2014, more than 10,000 people attended the food festival. A similar number is expected for the 2015 event on June 28. On behalf of the South Croydon Business Association, we cover all the organisational details. This involves behind-the scenes elements such as the road closure for the one-day event and sponsorship, as well as the front-end fun which includes food samples, demo kitchen, entertainment across three performance areas and street entertainment.
