What we were asked to do
Specs of Ken originally came to us for a website redesign, and have since become one of our most established clients.
How we did it
We developed a new bespoked brand-led website, with a focus on SEO, which boosted their visibility on search engines including Google.
One of the most high profile jobs was celebrating its 30th anniversary in June 2014. We brainstormed a campaign concept for the anniversary, and proposed a Celebrating Specs theme.
We took this theme and applied it to a range of marketing initiatives, including a set of four charity birthday cards, 30th anniversary logos on bags and tags, and glasses cleaning cloths featuring 30 celebrity's glasses through the ages.
The practice also opened on June 26 for a special party to which longstanding clients and suppliers, including three generations of one family.
And the results speak for themselves
When we took on the website, it received about 500-600 hits a month. By 2014, they were getting about 17,000 hits a week, and 2,500 from new visitors to the site each month.
If you search for Kensington and then opticians, optometrists or eyecare, Specs of Ken, it consistently appears in the top three results.
